TLYC encourages racing as a way to improve skills, most particularly of emerging sailors, rather than sailors who are already accomplished racers.
TLYC has racing once a month, generally on the Second Sunday of every month. TLYC also has some special events, such as the ‘Round Taal Volcano Regatta” on the Third weekend in November, a Womens Helm Regatta, and Championship Regattas per major class.
The club has a standing Notice Of Race (NOR), and Sailing Instructions (SIs)
At present the two main classes are the Hobie 16 class, and the OZ Goose class.
The club has semi-permanent short course buoys where sailors can improve their skills, there is a records page to allow sailors to judge their skill levels, against others.
If you are using a desktop or Laptop, there should be a black bar at the top of this page, and if you click “Racing”, you will activate a dropdown menu that will lead you to even more drop down menus. There you will find information on the different classes, and race documents. On Android, you will see a little square, with nine tiny squares at the left top of the screen. Click that, and a sidebar will open. Scroll down and you will eventually see “Racing” and all the pages pertaining to it. Does it work on an I phone?
